Finding Your Ark in a Noisy World

Self = Neshama

Trigger = Animal Soul

There is lots of noise in the world right now. Really more than our nervous systems can handle. There is the endless push of media, news, social and many other useful and useless media. Add in the negative spin of the media and its varying agendas. Throw in a little antisemitism and you are ripe for a full shut down.

(Suggestion: go on a media diet for a week. Just turn it off, take it off your phone, see how you feel in a week.)

Fret not, this is NOT a bug, this is not a drill, this is the real thing and a feature of the program.

In the daily study of Tanya this week the author, the Alter Rebbe tells us that the challenges we encounter, even those that say antagonistic and antisemitic things to us, is part of Hashem's program. It actually embodies Hashem in the act.

These are the triggers. They show up as outside forces, as well as inside voices that tell us we're not good enough, not worthy enough, will never amount to anything, that the other person is better, etc. etc.

Solution actually comes from this week's Torah portion. Get into the ARK! Take a break from the world so you can reconnect with Self with your true identity, your Neshama.

Ark in Hebrew is Tavya, tayve also translates as "words". Go into the Ark to avoid the flood waters, the deluge of information, the deluge of external or internal negativity.

When we get connected to Torah we get connected to "self". The self is really a manifestation of the Divine. So the equation is like this. Get in touch with self leads to recognizing the Divine within me, which leads to recognizing the Divine within the world, which allows me to settle my nervous system and not get worked up from the negativity around me and in me and then that allows me to find my purpose in the things I'm experiencing.

Bottom line; the Ark is your haven. Go into the Ark.
